2012 Little & Company Valentine

By Little & Company

<

What could Valentine’s Day possibly mean in the maniacal business worlds of advertising, media and communications?

For the past 11 years at Little & Company, it’s a time to momentarily suspend the commotion of work. And — and in the words of L&Co’s design director Jamie Parker, “a chance to send some good karma into the world.”

This year that good karma came in the form of love songs you can create online at www.littlelovesong.com and send to those who are special in your life. It’s fast, easy and fun.

Originally a marketing tool to keep us top of mind, our Valentine has become a meaningful tradition sealed with heartfelt well wishes. Our objective was simple: to do some fun work that make people smile when they think about Little & Company, and spread a little love.

    Delivery of Work

Sometimes the best gift is one that can be shared with others. In its 11th year of sending a sweet, simple Valentine’s gift to friends, family and clients, Little & Company has created a unique opportunity for recipients to write and send a love song (littlelovesong.com). Whether it’s romantic or platonic, the songs offer a little something for everyone, and encourage all to share their love.

Clients, partners, friends, family and peers received Valentine in the mail encouraging them to visit the site. Letter pressed and designed with a built-in stand, the sweet little piece is meant to be a keepsake that can be displayed throughout the year. We followed up the mailing with a friendly reminder email sent the say before Valentine’s Day.

    The Results

While we don’t have metrics, we consider this project a success because it reinforced the positive feelings people have for Little & Company and gave them a way to continually interact with our brand. Our best measure of success is visits to the site (littlelovesong.com) and the response we get from the recipients. With this piece we not only received rave reviews from our clients, friends and family, we reached beyond to the masses and even received a feature on a local TV news station, KARE11. In addition:
