    To highlight the actions and leadership across a diverse portfolio of holding companies, private equity firm Platinum Equity commissioned Q, a seasonal publication distributed among the tens of thousands of employees at 30+ portfolio companies. With the private equity industry known better for fierce restructuring and headcount reductions, Platinum Equity wanted Q to be approachable, friendly, and demonstrate Platinum’s long-term commitment to growing the companies it owns and to the men and women employed throughout its portfolio.

    Delivery of Work

    This first edition of four issues, distributed to all the companies in the portfolio each quarter throughout 2011, served to grow awareness of Platinum's operations and of the significantly positive activities within the portfolio.

    The Results

    Not only has Q inspired cross-portfolio collaborations between companies who now have greater understanding of each others products and services, it has served as a vehicle that communicates the Platinum Equity brand to Fortune 500 companies, investment banks, and other sources of business opportunities for Platinum Equity. We are currently working on the second edition which will release throughout 2012.
