Push the bounds of gift card technology to create a product that connects with the specified demographic, builds buzz for Target, and continues to have value as a toy after it has been redeemed at the store.

    Delivery of Work

Each project is a unique exploration of the balance of form and function. These examples show that success can arrive in the form of a squirt gun, an interactive game or custom 3D glasses. Every element of the giftcard’s presentation, from the card itself to the carrier, the artwork and overall functionality all work to create an engaging and unexpectedly fun moment at the point of purchase and beyond.

    The Results

A successful solution for each of these ideas meant that once it was redeemed, the GiftCard would continue to have value to the recipient, instead of being thrown away after redemption. Instead of creating GiftCards to be eye-catching landfill fodder, these fun and functionally designed pieces live on as toys long after their transactional use is complete.
