Though these posters were student work, if they were to be produced they would be displayed around cities to attract students who are at the pivotal point of deciding what to do with their future careers.
These posters were created as promotional pieces for the Whanganui School of Design in New Zealand. The brief was to use photography as a starting point to create a series of posters that could show the school’s strengths in the subjects of design, photography and typography. Rigid architectural images of the school contrast with flowing typography to represent design as a process that is both structured and fluid, predictable and surprising.
The hope for these posters is that they could play a role in promoting the possibilities of art education.
