ABOUT JANE TILKA

Designer, consultant, and strategist, Jane Tilka sees opportunity where business and beauty intersect. Her firm, Tilka Design, guides local to national clients through a creative and strategic process that develops a brand’s potential. Not only that, Tilka Design has developed licensed retail products for numerous companies, including Jane’s co-founded nationally franchised Sox Appeal stores. Their work has been included in countless design books, magazines, and websites throughout the firm’s 30-year history. A graduate of The College of St. Catherine, Jane has mentored and trained many young designers to apply design thinking to organizational and business strategy. Jane has served on numerous local arts boards and is committed to involvement within her profession. AIGA Members | $15 Very limited capacity. AIGA Members only. About Lunch with a Legend

Lunch with a Legend is a unique opportunity to learn firsthand from Minnesota’s design luminaries. Created by the Expert Designers Committee, it offers a range of topics for designers at various stages of their careers. This program is a mini series within the legacy Luncheons program, hosted by AIGA Minnesota. Amanda Sagstetter
Director of Career Practice
With strong design thinking and creative execution, Amanda has been a graphic designer and effective visual communicator for the past 15 years. She graduated from the University of Minnesota with a Bachelor’s degree in Design Communication in 2001. Since graduating she has worked at such companies as SUPERVALU, USP Structural Connectors, and Syncada from Visa. Currently she is an in-house designer at Thrivent Financial.

She sees the big picture and understands that her designs have to do more than look visually appealing; they have to convey the brand, communicate a message, and help achieve the desired goals. Passionate about the brands and designs that she works on, she is always looking for a new, creative, and innovative way to express an idea or message.

Amanda has become increasingly active in AIGA Minnesota over the past few years as a member of the In-House Designers Committee, for which she served as the Committee Chair for a year and a half, and now as the Director of Career Practice.
