Always-On Digital Marketing: What it means for Brands and Agencies

How brands define and market themselves has been changing dramatically over the last few years and this has had significant impact on how strategy, creative, and design are practiced. While traditional campaigns aren’t going away, more emphasis is being placed on a new practice: always-on digital marketing. And this means a whole new set of processes, new kinds of collaborations, and a new role for creative.

Christian Erickson, Partner, Zeus Jones

Christian Erickson, is one of the founder/partners of Zeus Jones, a 6 year old agency formed when the founders left the traditional advertising world to rethink how agencies work in response to these massive changes. He’ll talk about how “always-on” is driving massive changes on both the agency and client side, and show some examples of practices and ideas that have emerged.

Jenny Schmitz-Hinshaw
Director of Legacy Programming
Jenny has been a member of AIGA Minnesota since 2000, volunteering on the Design Camp® committee for several years, and serving as co-chair in 2010. She then served on AIGA Minnesota’s board of directors as the director of affinity programming. In this role, she led the affinity groups, which included emerging designers, in-house designers, solopreneurs, sustainable design, veteran designers and UX. From 2012-14, Jenny served as president, overseeing the chapter’s 75 yearly events and initiatives, providing members with a wide variety of opportunities to learn, be inspired, and make new connections.

Jenny’s design career has been focused on the education and healthcare fields. She has extensive experience with in-house creative teams, currently as a designer and project manager with Smiths Medical.
