INtrapreneurial Workshop: The Best Outside Agency Is Your In-House Team

A hands-on workshop facilitated by Andy Epstein for in-house creative leaders to improve their in-house team and their team’s standing within the company.

Created and facilitated by Andy Epstein, currently the head of the national AIGA task force on in-house design, the editor of the HOW “In-HOWse” blog and the author of The Corporate Creative, this hands-on workshop is for solo in-house groups as well as leaders of large teams working in any industry. Attendees will create a powerful, sustainable business plan and encourage an innovative entrepreneurial business model for their in-house teams. A part of INitative, a joint program presented by AIGA and The Creative Group, The INtrapreneurial Workshop is about raising the stature and effectiveness of in-house design teams – making them powerful players within their companies as well as in the larger creative and business communities. Each in-house group has unique responsibilities, needs, assets and challenges. With the right management and the right business plan, the designers who make up these teams are, after all, almost always the best talent for the job. Each attendee will leave the workshop with an actionable business plan to improve their in-house team and their team’s standing within the company. The INtrapreneurial Workshop is designed to initiate this process of self-discovery and goal creation so that managers and in-house teams can meet their company’s creative needs with an unbeatable combination of inside knowledge and outside discoveries.

Participant Requirements

All participants must be at a managerial level in their groups with the ability to implement the business plans they create in the workshop. Solo department creatives must be in a position in the reporting structure to effect change within their companies.
