While working with Gestalten Publishers on a volume about our letterpress work we were determined to include a letterpress component to the project. In the end we were thrilled to be able letterpress the covers, that we also designed, in our Minneapolis studio. Each cover was hand fed into a platen press for imprinting with a copper plate before the lot of them were shipped off to meet the gutt of the book in final production. A book about letterpress with a letterpress printed cover, it just makes good sense.

Letterpress lovers, local and internationally, have raved about the book. Available for purchase in museum shops, bookstores and amazon.com. What better way to showcase what we do than with a printed sample as the front and back of each book.
The Results
This has been a great sales tool for our business. We are able to hand over a "best of" to potential clients, friends and people who we knock the socks off of. The tactility of the covers is a huge part of that.
