Minnesota Opera 2012-2013 Season

    The Minnesota Opera wanted to pursue a new direction; away from literal photos of performers and towards conceptual and meaningful illustrations of the themes and ideas behind the operas. They also wanted to attract new and younger members by showing that opera is a living art that is still evolving and pushing boundaries. I worked with the team at the Minnesota Opera to understand their vision and interpretation of the performances and translated that using images, color and typography.

    Delivery of Work

    The work was printed for transtops and also used in brochures, postcards, newspaper ads and on the Minnesota Opera web site.

    The Results

    The clients were very happy with the work and it has received great reviews from the members who have received the brochures.
