Particularly successful, to me, was the Headwaters Foundation Annual Report. Based on a simple concept, “with or without,” it achieves a strikingly powerful result that clearly delivers a consistently supported, solid concept, literally and figuratively. This is really tough subject matter too. I think the concept was approached and executed creatively and with appropriate authority. It made me think—really think—about what we, the creative community, could achieve if we took on more challenges like this and applied our talents to increase awareness about our communities. To me, that’s what a great piece of creative does—it makes its audience reconsider their familiar perspective and enables them to regard the world, or at least a part of it, in a new way.
