Delivery

This project was specifically unique because of the materials used and the design itself. The packaging itself is beautiful to look at which attracted customers vs. a generic plastic wrap and styrofoam package. That is another part of its uniqueness. The packaging was made with Be Green's 100% tree-free and compostable containers. The environment was a huge factor on the design.

Concept

Doubting Thomas Farms is an organic and humane farm based out of Moorhead, Minn. The farm was in need of total branding.

I used organic materials and organic art forms in each piece. I painted red-stemmed spinach and crimini mushrooms for the labels. I did this to represent the hands that go into every product you will buy from Doubting Thomas Farms. The hands that are rough from hours upon hours of fieldwork.

I also made sure that the sense of it being handmade was represented throughout the project. This isn’t a company based off computers so the designs shouldn’t be either. Everything has an organic element that truly represents the slogan: Honest to Goodness Taste.

Results

The client was extremely happy, was actually brought to tears. She said that she didn't think she could ever have something so nice for the farm. Facebook likes doubled after the new branding debut and many people were educated on a different way of farming and design.
