Concept

Polaroid, one of the world’s most widely recognized consumer brands, is always seeking new ways to inspire consumers and partners alike in both local and international markets. In 2013, Polaroid engaged The Thorburn Group with the challenge to create an expansive library of brand photography that would capture the magical spirit of Polaroid. But our assignment was two-fold. We also needed to solve a business challenge: meet the needs of dozens of Polaroid Licensees around the globe, crossing more than 14 different product categories. Our new brand photography would be used globally, on everything from packaging and print to digital advertising and environmental displays.

Our inspiration was to capture authentic, real moments worth sharing and “elevate the everyday.” In essence, bring to life the idea of instant moments, one true legacy of the Polaroid brand.

Results

When a brand’s mission is true, its purpose and passions are clear. It connects and resonates with audiences – consumers, employees, partners and stakeholders. This is exactly what we accomplished. Overwhelming positive feedback from our clients and partners has set a new bar for bringing the Polaroid brand back to life. And we’re only just getting started.
