We strategically leveraged Vine, a social video mobile application, as the platform to create content that was timely and contextually effective. The limitations of this app (six-second looping video with no editing capabilities) posed both a challenge and an opportunity to connect with a younger demographic on an emerging platform.
Cox Communications, was looking for ways to create unique content for social media and connect with TV fans.
In September, we created a video for Cox Communications that celebrated the series finale of Breaking Bad. We filmed a timelapse illustration of Walter White’s transformation throughout the series; the video captured an hour and a half illustration in six seconds completely within Vine and without editing.
Cox Communications’ Breaking Bad video was extremely well received and created brand affinity with a new audience. To date, the video has seen social success and wide spread engagement with a combined total of more than 15,000 likes, revines and comments on Vine.
