Are you new to Minneapolis or just nervous to attend cocktails with creatives alone? Event Connect is a new, optional service that pairs you with another twin cities designer via email a few days before the event. That way you have someone to meet up with at the event that can introduce you to other local designers. Bring those business cards!

Register Here for Event Connect (FREE, but must be 21 for this event)

We feature more than 50 arcade games from the ‘80s and ‘90s, pinball machines, four classic skee-ball alleys, Nintendo 64 console gaming, life-size jenga and connect four. All games cost just 25 cents. Our drink menu includes an extensive craft beer selection with over 60 beers on tap and even more bottles and cans, as well as house-made pizza by the slice with unique toppings. updownmpls.com

Amanda Martin
Director of Membership
Amanda was introduced to AIGA in 2012 through the Minnesota chapter’s mixer, Cocktails with Creatives, and has been involved ever since. She has served on the Portfolio 1-on-1 committee for the past two years and this years’ Design Show committee. Currently, she is assisting in the planning of the 2014 AIGA Minnesota’s Volunteers Party. Being a part of the design community, especially this local chapter, has been a stellar part of her life and she looks forward to making a positive difference.

During the work week, Amanda is a committed in-house Creative Advisor at Gradient Financial Group in the Twin Cities, primarily performing account management, while also building responsive websites for clients. She’s a lucky lady to be on a team of 15 creatives, from designers to developers to videographers.

Amanda loves the outdoors, people, and having lots of fun! During her time away from work, she takes full advantage of being active during all seasons. Her favorite activities include 4-wheeling, boating, bike riding, snowmobiling, and is always up for connecting over a good cup of coffee for great conversation.
