Luncheon with Steven McCarthy

To purchase a table of ten (10), please see below for group rates. University of Minnesota professor Steven McCarthy will share stories from his experience writing the book The Designer As… Author, Producer, Activist, Entrepreneur, Curator and Collaborator: New Models for Communicating. Published by BIS, Amsterdam and boldly designed by celebrated publication designer Martin Venezky, the book discusses the many roles and opportunities that graphic designers now have. Besides McCarthy’s 50,000 words, over 1500 illustrated images, original interviews with notable design leaders like Rick Poynor, Ellen Lupton, Armin Vit, and nine others help define design authorship’s impact on the profession.
