So…Are you ready to launch?

As AIGA turns 100 in 2014, let’s take time for reflection and celebration of the history of American graphic design and its profound impact. While we look back at the past and ahead to the future of design, we challenge you to think about your own career plans. Join us at Fulton Brewery for a night of mingling and reflecting on your professional goals for the coming year. What have you accomplished? Where do you want to go? After registering, download the time capsule PDF, fill it out, then bring the letter with you and drop it into our time capsule. Or write your letter over drinks and food truck eats from Lulu’s Street Food. At the end of 2014, we’ll launch this rocket and deliver your letter back to you. Enjoy a pint of Fulton on tap just 38 feet from where it was brewed. Browse a selection of Fulton gear and gifts while you sip (house-brewed soda is also an option), but be sure to watch out for the forklift and brewers because they can be dangerous!

Amanda Sagstetter
Director of Career Practice
With strong design thinking and creative execution, Amanda has been a graphic designer and effective visual communicator for the past 15 years. She graduated from the University of Minnesota with a Bachelor’s degree in Design Communication in 2001. Since graduating she has worked at such companies as SUPERVALU, USP Structural Connectors, and Syncada from Visa. Currently she is an in-house designer at Thrivent Financial.

She sees the big picture and understands that her designs have to do more than look visually appealing; they have to convey the brand, communicate a message, and help achieve the desired goals. Passionate about the brands and designs that she works on, she is always looking for a new, creative, and innovative way to express an idea or message.

Amanda has become increasingly active in AIGA Minnesota over the past few years as a member of the In-House Designers Committee, for which she served as the Committee Chair for a year and a half, and now as the Director of Career Practice.
