Solopreneurs: March Meeting at Wedge Table
Interested in lending your voice to the AIGA Minnesota Solopreneurs community?
Join us for our monthly lunch meetings at The Wedge Table Community Room. (NOTE: We are meeting on The Third Thursday rather than Second Thursday this month). We discuss upcoming Solopreneur events, brainstorm and collaborate on business and creative issues, and enjoy the company of other independent creative professionals in a casual setting with some tasty food available for purchase.
If you’re already a Solopreneur or just thinking about making the transition, we’d love to include you in our conversation. No registration or advanced RSVP is required. Plan to buy your own lunch and/or beverage.
12:00-1:00 Pursuing Passion Projects Though we are all fortunate enough to do creative work for a living, many of us have creative pursuits that fall outside of our daily client work: the Passion Project. Some people use their primary skillset to work on a worthy cause or interesting problem, and some people dabble in an entirely different creative pursuit. Are you a designer pursuing photography? An illustrator creating labels for their own homebrews? A writer donating time for a charity? A UX designer helping with a hackathon? Got your own unique story to tell, or want to learn how to begin? Join us this month to talk about how you balance your primary career with your passion projects while still maintaining your life (and your sanity!) And of course, we’ll discuss the big question: do you monetize any of your passion projects, and if so, how? 1:00-1:30 Committee Meeting
Location: The Wedge Table on Nicollet
Free to attend, all independent creatives invited
