Portfolio 1-on-1® 2014 gathered 200 students from 21 different schools across 6 different states.

The conference kicked-off on Friday March 28th when attendees toured over 40 studios around the Twin Cities. Tours ranged in size from large advertising agencies to small boutique design firms, giving students a peek into a variety of potential work environments. Studio tours were followed by the unique opportunity to attend an expert panel comprised of Eric Madsen, Jo Davison, Kate Arends, and Ryan Evans; moderated by Brent Stickels. The day wrapped with an informal peer review, where students were encouraged to share their portfolios with one another for feedback.

Saturday brought the students together with over 100 current professionals for portfolio reviews. Each student sat down with at least 3 reviewers, filling any down time attending one of the 9 workshops that run throughout the day. After an exhausting day of feedback students were showered with door prizes that included an Adobe Creative Cloud Subscription, a Wacom tablet and Studio On Fire business cards.
