Portfolio 1-on-1 Educators Forum April 25, 2016
Summary by Angela Niemi, photos by Jay Larson
On Saturday, April 2, 2016, 18 design educators from around the state met at GoKart Labs for the annual Educators Forum in conjunction with AIGA Minnesota’s Portfolio 1-on-1®. Together the educators addressed common issues, insights, and solutions relating to student collaboration, grading, encouraging risk taking, and professional community involvement. Educators shared examples from their successful programming, assignments, and events.
We realized throughout the course of the conversation that many groups were experiencing the same challenges, so we’re looking to continue the discussion at a full-day working session later this summer. If you’d like to join us, please contact [email protected].
