So… Many… Patterns November 13, 2013

A sold-out crowd of designers learned some tricks and got a few treats, including a fabulous gold tote bag, from Treat and Company at the Emerging Designers’ “So…What’s Your Pattern?” event on October 29, graciously hosted by Creative Arc. A trend researcher gave us the inside scoop on how Treat stays ahead of the curve with color and fashion forecasts that influence their work. One of Treat’s talented designers guided us through a step-by-step tutorial for creating the perfect repeating pattern in Photoshop and Illustrator, and we picked up a few tips from the business side of the pattern world. The chilly evening was brightened by the plethora of eye candy and knowledge that they generously shared with us. Many thanks to Treat and Company, and Creative Arc, for an educational event.
