Join us for this inspiring seminar and workshop exploring the role of 3D in design, featuring keynote speaker Stefan Bucher, author of LetterHeads, a whimsical exploration of 3 Dimensions in illustration and typography. View Adobe, Esko and iC3D solutions demonstrations, and listen to Twin Cities area 3D pros report from the field. Bring your laptops and follow along in Photoshop and Dimension* as you master the ABCs of XYZ in the afternoon hands-on workshops.**

Registration includes lunch, beverages and a copy of LetterHeads, which Stefan will be pleased to sign for you.

** The hands-on workshops will be conducted in Adobe CC 2018.

Presenters

Stefan G. Bucher is the person behind 344design.com and dailymonster.com, which has spawned a book and three popular “Monster Maker” iOS apps. He is the author of seven books, including the best-selling “344 Questions—The Creative Person’s Do-It-Yourself Guide to Insight, Survival, and Artistic Fulfillment.” His new book “LetterHeads: An Eccentric Alphabet,” about an experimental set of sentient letters is in bookstores now.

 

EM Green is the 3D/CGI Supervisor at Polaris Industries where he leads a cadre of computer graphics specialists creating content for web, print, and industrial design. His diverse professional experience spans video games, architecture, military simulations, and automotive.

 

A recent graduate of the Minneapolis College of Art and Design, Krista is a versatile technical artist with a budding love for visual effects. She currently resides at Pixel Farm, helping their VR team to create tailored experiences for a variety of clients such as 3M and Coca-Cola.

 

Rachel Buchen graduated from Northern Michigan University with a B.S. in Computer Art and a minor in biology. She works as a 3D animator at FUSE Animation in Minneapolis and enjoys both engineering and creatively imagining her work.

Danilo Bojic
Director of Education
As a native Serbian, born and raised in Belgrade, Danilo has earned his BFA in Graphic Communications and BA in Art History from the University of Houston in 2009. In 2012 Danilo had successfully defended his thesis and holds an MFA Degree in Graphic Communications from the University of Houston.

Danilo engages the questions of enticing shifts in perception in design education and the influence of contemporary society and culture on our visual cognition in his research practice. His goal is to visually investigate the ability to communicate in different formats and create different levels of cognition through perception, acceleration, and construction of messages that raise consciousness, sensitivity, and conviction.


In his teaching practice, Danilo is committed to transforming the traditional design curriculum to expand the level of understanding of core and advance theoretical principles while utilizing historical and contemporary knowledge to enhance the learning experience. Danilo currently teaches design at Winona State University in Minnesota, USA.
