The transition from graphic design to UX/UI design can be challenging. In this presentation, Michelle Hagen will share the lessons she learned transitioning from her early career in graphic design to her current role leading a UX/UI team and developing business operations for a Sports app startup, Bleachr.
Michelle Hagen, Lead UX/UI designer at Bleachr
Michelle is a UX/UI designer who is passionate about how design and technology work together to provide the best solution for businesses and users. A Rochester native, she studied traditional graphic design at UW-Stout before moving to the Twin Cities where she established her design career. Curious by nature, she is constantly on the go, enjoying life’s pleasures and taking on challenges head first.
Where do I park?
Please park on nearby streets such as Colfax, Dupont, and Bryant Avenues where permitted. Avoid being towed from the CVS lot. We can also validate parking at Calhoun Square Parking Ramp (entrance at Lake & Girard) for $6.50. Pick up validation that night at the front desk.
About the UX Group
Through creative programming and action-oriented initiatives, we aim to bridge the gap between UX and visual design, further UX in the local community, and cultivate the talent of our local designers.
The UX meetups are made possible through our collaboration with COCO, a community of dreamers, creators, and doers. COCO is a destination for building your venture and exploring new ideas in the company of other creators. Whether you are an independent, an entrepreneur building a startup, a small business owner, or a corporate innovator, COCO is a place to imagine and pursue what’s possible. We offer memberships that provide access to multiple coworking spaces and meeting venues. To learn more about COCO, sign up and take a tour of any of our 4 locations here in the Twin Cities. Tours are offered every Friday at all locations, 11 to 11:30 a.m.
