Mind to Mind is AIGA Minnesota’s mentorship program for emerging designers and design students. Our goal is to empower emerging designers to develop and succeed in their personal and professional pursuits by connecting them with experienced design talent. We aim to facilitate the transfer of knowledge, skills, and occupational insights from the mentor to the mentee as they progress in their professional journeys.

Over the course of 10 weeks, the mentor and mentee will work towards a professional goal, with the mentor providing guidance and support. Mind to Mind strives to foster a positive and productive relationship between the mentor and mentee, which ideally will continue beyond the program.

Mind to Mind is currently accepting mentor and mentee applications for the 2023 mentorship program. This year will be considered a hybrid experience with a virtual opening ceremony and optional in-person meetings thereafter. The program start date is July 20th and will end September 28th. Accepted applicants will receive further details via email in July.

Mentee Applications close June 9th, 2023. Eligible mentees must be a junior/senior design student or consider themselves an emerging designer.

Mentor Applications close June 28th, 2023. Eligible mentors must have at least 7 years of professional experience.

NOTE: All form submissions will be shared with your mentor/mentee prior to your first meeting.

Please contact the Mentorship Committee at [email protected] or [email protected] if you have any questions.
