Mind to Mind is AIGA Minnesota’s mentorship program for emerging designers and design students. Our goal is to empower emerging designers to develop and succeed in their personal and professional pursuits by connecting them with experienced design talent. We aim to facilitate the transfer of knowledge, skills, and occupational insights from the mentor to the mentee as they progress in their professional journeys.

Over the span of 10 weeks, the mentor and mentee will collaborate towards achieving a professional goal, with the mentor providing guidance and support. Mind to Mind strives to foster a positive and productive relationship between the mentor and mentee, which ideally will continue beyond the program.

Mind to Mind is currently accepting mentor and mentee applications for the 2024 mentorship program. This will be a hybrid experience, with a virtual opening ceremony and in-person meetings thereafter. The program will begin on July 26th and conclude on October 4th, followed by a closing ceremony on October 11th. Accepted applicants will receive further details via email in July.

Mentee Applications close June 16th, 2024. Eligible mentees should be either junior/senior design students or consider themselves emerging designers, with 0-3 years of professional experience.

Mentor Applications close June 28th, 2024. Eligible mentors must have at least 7 years of professional experience.

NOTE: All form submissions will be shared with your mentor/mentee prior to your first meeting.

Please contact the Mentorship Committee at [email protected] or [email protected] if you have any questions.
