Virtual Event

By attending an AIGA event, you agree to abide by the Code of Conduct.

New year—new initiatives, AIGA MN is starting a book club to encourage thoughtful, responsible, and inquisitive discourse among members. Please join AIGA MN Book Club, ReadON, in a judicious and respectful discourse on a myriad of topics. Let us together explore a variety of topics focusing on design history, activism, theory, pedagogy, practice, and many others. Every other month we will come together to share our opinions on the read book.

Attendees are invited to take turns sharing their impressions and contribute to the discourse shining more light on these untold stories. We also invite you to join us in sharing your impressions and observations via social media. All are welcome to participate in social media follow-up discussions, whether or not you are able to attend the meetings. We invite you to use #AIGAMN, #BookClub, and #readON hashtags.

The third book chosen, for our August meetup, is Extra Bold: A Feminist, Inclusive, Anti-racist, Nonbinary Field Guide for Graphic Designers by Ellen Lupton, Jennifer Tobias, Josh Halstead, Leslie Xia, Kaleena Sales, Farah Kafei, and Valentina Vergara. This book is the inclusive, practical, and informative career handbook that we have all been waiting for. If you would like to submit book nominations for future considerations, feel free to reach out to Danilo Bojic, AIGA MN Director of Education.
