Join us – in person – for an exciting event on the intersection of UX and design, presented by UXPA Minnesota & AIGA MN. Hear a panel of three designers from a variety of backgrounds and organizations answer questions about what works and doesn’t when design meets UX, development, and content.

After the panel discussion, join us for continued conversation.

Our Speakers

Meleck Davis

Meleck is a digital product creative with over fifteen years of experience developing cross-platform applications. He takes care to build a creative and productive work environment that enables teams to produce engaging digital experiences. Currently, I am the Senior Designer at the Minnesota Historical Society and a certified scrum master.

Damien Brown

Damien is a senior UX/UI designer, creative strategist, and storyteller at BI Worldwide. His ability to create digital experiences has allowed him to work with some of the most recognized companies and organizations in the world. He brings a great understanding of user experience-centered design with a wealth of creative knowledge and the ability to execute strategically and creatively.

Jashmin Nakarmi

Jashmin is a UI/UX designer at Vye. Jashmin came to the United States from Nepal in 2012 to follow her passion for design. She is “always looking for the next new life experiences” and believes in having no regrets. Her vision for our St. Cloud region is that it is a growing community of like minds and a hub of idea inventors.

Brent Larson
President
Brent is an award winning Motion, 3D, and Graphic designer with 20 years of experience working in the architectural, manufacturing, legal, corporate, and film industries as a solopreneur, agency, and in-house designer. He has experience in illustration, graphic design, product design, 3D modeling & animation, motion graphics, video production, live & virtual event production, presentation design, art direction, and project management. He currently works as a corporate in-house Principal Motion and Graphic Designer in the MedTech industry.

Before becoming AIGA Minnesota President, Brent served as Vice President from 2022-2023 and Chair of the In-House Designers Committee from 2019 - 2023.

Brent volunteers as a mentor for emerging designers and is a member of the AIGA Minnesota Mind to Mind Mentorship Program Committee.

His interests include history, film, design, animation, illustration, 3D printing, model making, woodworking, golf, bowling, fishing, and restoring things.
