Networking & Discussion for Solopreneurs

Solopreneurs are invited to join this virtual event with special guest Ian Connel of Ian Connel Creative speaking on Creating Effective Narrative in Video.

This will be an open forum and AMA discussion around translating stories to persuasive video, including in script and storyboard form. Most importantly, we’ll discover what the heck people will click, watch and finish. Ian creates videos that your customers watch to the end. From YouTube content for doctors to brand stories for construction companies to scripts for Silicon Valley tech firms, Ian knows how to find what’s compelling and convert it to persuasive video.

Guest Presenter: Ian Connel

Ian Connel is a video producer, editor, and writer out of Saint Paul. He uses a background in journalism, copywriting, and video editing to create persuasive stories that get results. He’s also a husband, dad, mixed martial-artist, and shameless nerd. His favorite show is Avatar: The Last Airbender.

I am Freelance Visual Designer and Artist based in Bloomington, MN. I have over a decade of experience with brand identities, designing for print & digital, website design, event design, as well as marketing strategy & planning. Overall, I'm more of a generalist who specializes in brand strategy, graphic design, and web design.

In addition to being a freelance designer, I am also a lettering and illustration artist. A lot of my custom hand-drawn work appears in my client projects.

When I’m not designing or drawing, I enjoy climbing/bouldering, lifting, going to movies, dancing, and hanging out with family & friends.
