Schedule

12:00-1:00 Note-taking, Communication, and the Digital Divide Come meet and network with fellow independent creatives over a coffee or delicious lunch purchased from our friends at The Wedge Table. This month we’re discussing how we manage all of the information we collect as part of our jobs. Client communication, meetings, calls, research: how do we prefer to take notes? How do we store this information, collect references, do research? Is it different for creative vs administrative tasks? What are our preferences in digital vs physical, computers vs tablets vs a notepad? Have we found any special software or techniques that have made our notes more useful? And how do we manage sharing this information with our clients or with other partners on projects? Let’s chat about how we manage the mountains of information we need to process as part of our independent professions.

1:00-1:30 Committee Meeting

Free to attend, all independent creatives invited

I am Freelance Visual Designer and Artist based in Bloomington, MN. I have over a decade of experience with brand identities, designing for print & digital, website design, event design, as well as marketing strategy & planning. Overall, I'm more of a generalist who specializes in brand strategy, graphic design, and web design.

In addition to being a freelance designer, I am also a lettering and illustration artist. A lot of my custom hand-drawn work appears in my client projects.

When I’m not designing or drawing, I enjoy climbing/bouldering, lifting, going to movies, dancing, and hanging out with family & friends.
